Thank you for your interest in ECHO Ontario Psychotherapy- Developmental Trauma and Resilience. In order to better understand your learning needs we are conducting a brief needs assessment that should not take more than 5 minutes of your time. This will help our ECHO program meet the needs of real clinicians working with clients who have experienced ACEs.

“Developmental trauma” refers to childhood experiences of abuse, neglect, or other family adversities, such as parental mental illness or substance use, also known as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). These experiences can lead to developmental trauma when children and youth do not receive sufficient support with their overwhelming emotions, and when they feel fearful and unsafe. Developmental trauma can have lifelong negative physical and mental health impacts, and has therefore become a growing public health and clinical priority area.

Please take a few minutes to let us know about your current learning and clinical needs around developmental trauma.
